About CAST IRON COOKING
Started in 2003, Katy Thompson runs CAST IRON COOKING, a small Aga cook school, at her home in the Scottish countryside near Loch Lomond. Katy, a Cordon Bleu qualified Home Economist and life-long Aga cook, has over 30 years experience of teaching cooking skills and techniques.
Katy is passionate about all things Aga, believing the Aga way of cooking and the superb results achieved far outpace any other form of cooking. She is also a fully qualified Aga demonstrator who demonstrates at Aga showrooms throughout Scotland.
At Cast Iron Cooking emphasis is on getting
the best from your Aga using fresh seasonal
Scottish produce. Eggs are sourced from
Katy's own free-range hens.
The Aga cookery demonstrations and tuition bring together Katy's love affair with food, cooking and Aga's, allowing her to share her knowledge, expertise and enthusiasm.
